It’s a big day over in Windsor, where the royal family just celebrated the birthday of their most expressive little prince. Today, April 23, the youngest—and arguably the most meme-able—child of Prince William and Princess Kate turns 8 years old.

Prince Louis, the younger sibling of Prince George and Princess Charlotte, carved out his reputation as the British royal family’s biggest scene-stealer back in 2019, just one year after he was born. Attending the late Queen Elizabeth II’s annual birthday parade, known as Trooping the Colour, the prince let his feelings be known to the public. As he was held by his parents, he gave some sass to the camera, looking adorably grumpy and unbothered at the festivities.

Since then, the annual event has proven to be a gold mine of Louis’s facial expressions.
