Ben Affleck’s recent move regarding the ex-couple’s mansion has Jennifer Lopez’s hopes up. As per a source, the prolonged search for a buyer seemingly led Affleck to reportedly give Lopez his share of the marital home. This has reportedly left a strong impression on Lopez.

Affleck and Lopez settled their divorce in January this year. However, their $60 million Beverly Hills property, which they purchased in 2023, remained an issue as they were unable to secure buyers for it.

But in a recent generous move, Affleck reportedly gifted his stake to Lopez, looking for a clean break. As per the source, this has left a solid impression on Lopez, who is hoping they can work things out.

A source told Star Magazine that the singer “can’t help but see it as proof he’s the good guy she fell in love with, and she’s back to hoping that somehow, they might be able to work it out.”

However, the source also explained that Affleck is not being romantic or charitable; instead, he is simply trying to be done with the tricky situation. The source shared, “He feels like this will absolve him of the way he messed with her head [during their marriage]. But that’s typical of Ben — he’s trying to avoid drama and only creating more.”

Another source revealed to Rob Shuter that the Gone Girl star wants nothing to do with his ex-wife anymore. The source stated, “This isn’t him giving anything. This is him paying to be done. That house is the last tie, and he wants it gone, fast. He’d pay anything at this point because peace of mind is worth more than the money.
