Kate Middleton had the sweetest reaction when a young fan jumped on her while she met with Irish Guards during a St. Patrick’s Day event this week. During a parade at Mons Barracks on March 17, the Princess of Wales was completely unfazed by the three-year-old girl, who literally couldn’t contain her excitement.

In a clip shared on X, formerly Twitter, Kate is seen holding hands with little Vienna, who is the daughter of Lance Sergeant Mills. He led the drums and pipes during Tuesday’s St. Patrick’s Day parade.
Kate and Vienna shared an adorable moment in the clip, chatting about the little one’s “beautiful” hair and dancing around. It’s no surprise, then, that other royal fans shared their love for the encounter on social media.
“So adorable, something I love seeing in her,” said @snowwhite90000. “She’s such a natural with children; they just gravitate towards her,” added @mrspig59 of the mom-of-three. “You can see Kate is a mom – not too phased when Vienna took off!” agreed @lmJohnson76.

The Princess attended the St. Patrick’s Day Parade at Mons Barracks as an honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards. At the event, she presented shamrocks to the officers and guardsmen in attendance. But that’s not all. Kate also extended a sprig to the regimental mascot, an Irish wolfhound. Officially named Turlough Mor, the pup is better known as Seamus.
The St. Patrick’s Day parade ended with a royal salute and a march-past. Kate took the salute as Colonel, a role she took over from her husband, Prince William, in 2022 following King Charles’ ascension to the throne.
Of course, no St. Patrick’s Day would be complete without a customary pint of Guinness. Kate sipped on one at the end of the event, smiling as the Irish Guards gave a “hip, hip, hooray” in her honor.
