Every relationship goes through ups and downs, even if you're Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Andre Gray.
The Little Mix member, whose debut solo album My Ego Told Me To is out now, is opening up about how her marriage to Gray (with whom she shares twin daughters) grew "stronger" after working to overcome betrayal.
"The main thing for me was him just changing, really," Pinnock tells PEOPLE of Gray after she first publicly spoke about the struggle earlier this year. "He got therapy, he moved abroad as well. Even just him being alone, he did so much self-reflection on that. That was a massive thing for us. I think he just did the work."

"It really does mean a lot when you can go through something, come out the other end, and just you automatically become stronger for it," continues the British pop star. "Now, obviously, we've been through our stuff. We're married, we have kids, and we can just have a soft life."
Pinnock and Gray welcomed their twin daughters in August 2021. The pair got married in June 2023 after seven years of dating.
A professional soccer player, Gray currently plays as a striker for EFL League One club Port Vale — meaning he's based in England again after previously playing in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Greece and more locations.

What's the secret that keeps their marriage going strong? "A big thing for us is distance. As s--- as it is, it's been three years of long distance," explains Pinnock. "It's actually, I think, helped to keep the flame alight as well, you know? You can't wait to see them. It's actually really healthy to miss someone, I think."
While Pinnock and Gray both have public-facing careers, they've chosen to not share their twin daughters' names and faces. “I remember when they were born, I was going through this online hate thing and really seeing the toxicity of social media,” she says. “I mean, I probably would've still decided to not show their faces anyway, but that just kind of confirmed it for me. I want them to be able to make that decision.”
“I want them to be able to [choose] if they want to be famous or not, because once they're out there, they're out there,” Pinnock adds. “And I think that's such a big thing.”
The "Dead and Gone" singer and Gray decided to hide the girls’ names and faces in order to “protect them.”
“It's just a f---ing scary place out there,” she adds.
