Lisa Rinna shared that she was a bit skeptical when her husband Harry Hamlin first asked her out.

While promoting her new memoir, You Better Believe I'm Gonna Talk About It, Rinna spoke to 92NY about when she first met Hamlin in 1992. At the time, they both were in relationships but their paths crossed again months later when they were single.

Rinna recalled when Hamlin invited her to a holiday trip in Aspen, Colo. but she declined.

“I was in Medford, Oregon, for Christmas and he was calling," she said. "[My mom, Lois] would answer the phone and she would be like, 'Harry Hamlin is on the phone.' And I just was very careful."

Rinna continued, "I was kind of freaked out, to be honest, because he was such a big star at the time. He was on LA Law. He'd been married to Nicolette [Sheridan] and it was overwhelming. So I didn't see myself in that league."

Rinna says that despite her declining the offer, Hamlin still showed he was interested in her.

"Then he called me for two weeks straight in Medford. He had invited me to go to Aspen for Christmas. I was like, 'That's creepy,'" she said. "Most people would have jumped at it, right? It would have been like, 'Honey, I'm going to Aspen!' And I'm like, 'I'm going to stay at my parents' in Medford.'"

She added, "I think that's what finally got me to open up. I talked to him and I got to know him and he's so smart and he's kind and he's a great human."

Rinna and Hamlin got engaged in 1997 and were married shortly after. Their 29th anniversary is next month and the couple share two daughters together, Delilah, 27, and Amelia, 24.
