- In an exclusive interview with EW, *Married at First Sight* expert Paul C. Brunson shares details of an unaired scene with Felipe.

- Prior to his wedding to Tori, Paul says he caught Felipe with *a lot* of dating apps on his phone.

- “He’s like, ‘swipe, delete, delete, delete, swipe, delete,’” Paul recalls.

*Married at First Sight* expert Paul C. Brunson had his eye out for red flags while playing matchmaker for season 20.

“This is a scoop. I don’t think we’ve ever mentioned this,” Paul began in an exclusive interview with **. “I went into the restaurant and I sat down with Felipe, there was a moment where there was a pause in the scene. I remember glancing down at his phone and I saw a dating app on the main screen of his phone. So I asked him to delete all of his dating apps, which he did.”

Felipe, a 29-year-old restaurant owner, married Tori, a 32-year-old marketing manager after being paired by Paul and fellow expert Dr. Lisa. While they have a strong connection, Tori and their costars have questioned whether Felipe is actually ready for marriage as he has been open about struggling with a monogamous lifestyle.

“He was kind of reluctant,” Paul continued of Felipe’s dating apps. “But then he’s going through — it’s so funny because most people have two. He’s like, ‘swipe, delete, delete, delete, swipe, delete,’ has all these dating apps. He deleted all of them, but that didn’t make the cut.”

One scene that did make the edit — and capture EW’s attention — was in the premiere when Paul insisted that a different contestant named Adam call his situationship and officially cut things off before marrying his match, Marissa.

“That scene, if you will, started with his friends on the dock [who] were talking about how Adam occasionally will bring women to the house. So that’s when I started to quiz Adam on, ‘Well, when is the last time?’” Paul recalled to EW. “And he talked about this one woman coming over five, six times. In my mind, that’s a thing, that’s serious. But he entirely dismissed it as not serious.”

Paul didn’t expect the conversation to go the way it did.

“That’s the reason why I pulled him to the side and asked him to make the call. Now, I’ll be honest with you, when I asked him to make the call, I thought he was going to say that he was lying to me and there was no one,” he confessed. “I didn’t fully believe there was someone. I thought he was just saying [it]. When he dialed the number and she picked up, I was shocked. And then when he proceeds to tell her, he hangs up and he just figures out that she was into him!  It was so fascinating.”

Lisa called the moment “genius,” adding, “Paul’s very good at being able to hold someone to their highest level of accountability and push them just past their comfort zone, but they comply because you watch it and you see. Adam didn’t want to, and Paul sort of gently held him to it. He got the compliance without forcing it, which was brilliant.”
