According to Radar Online, King Charles is looking forward to seeing Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children during an upcoming U.K. visit. The trip is expected to take place around events connected to the Invictus Games, and sources claim Charles is helping facilitate the arrangements. One reason the King is said to be pleased about the visit is the opportunity to spend time with grandchildren Archie and Lilibet, whom he has not seen in several years.

That reported enthusiasm has allegedly not gone over well with Prince William. Royal commentator Tom Sykes claims William views his father's actions as a betrayal and believes Charles has been too accommodating toward Harry and Meghan following their public criticism of the royal family after stepping back from royal duties in 2020. Sources cited in the report say William is particularly "appalled" by efforts to welcome the Sussexes back into royal circles.

The report further alleges that William skipped the customary family lunch after Trooping the Colour and left shortly after the RAF flypast with Catherine and their three children.
