Sarah Ferguson’s “tell-all” concerns reportedly grew after new claims said the former Duchess weighed a TV exposé. A reported U.S. offer, said to top $2 million, has put money and image repair back in focus. However, the larger issue was said to be her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. A new source claimed Sarah Ferguson feared any public interview could pull them into unwanted royal attention.
Sarah Ferguson worried about tell-all’s consequences on daughters, per source
As per the Mirror report, Sarah Ferguson was weighing offers for a televised interview or documentary. The outlet reported that American and British producers had shown interest. One American bid was said to be worth $1.75 million. Meanwhile, a separate report placed another alleged offer above $2 million. However, the former Duchess was reportedly cautious about how a Sarah Ferguson tell-all would affect her daughters. A source told the Mirror, “Sarah knows she needs the money and she’s open to the right television opportunity.” The source added, “Her daughters are part of the Royal Family, and anything she does reflects on them.”

The Mirror also reported that Sarah had kept a low profile for more than seven months. She was recently photographed at a pricey ski chalet in Austria, according to the outlet. Still, the source said she wanted to control her story without creating new fallout. They said, “There’s a real sense she wants, in fact needs, to tell her side of the story.” However, the same source added that “it has to be handled carefully.” The concern was that any info from the “tell-all” interview could widen tensions with the Palace and draw more scrutiny.
Meanwhile, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told The Mirror that Beatrice and Eugenie would likely struggle with the attention. Bond said, “I think her daughters would be in despair if she went ahead with a tell-all interview.” She added that “whatever she said would result in headline news.” Bond also said the publicity was exactly what Beatrice and Eugenie were “desperately trying to avoid.” Therefore, she advised Sarah to keep “as low a profile as possible.”
