Salma Hayek shares a daughter with her husband, François-Henri Pinault
She’s also a stepmom to the French businessman’s three children he welcomed during previous relationships
The couple became grandparents for the first time in August 2026, when François-Henri’s eldest son welcomed his first child
Salma Hayek’s family has continued to grow with the addition of her first grandchild.
The Mexican actress and director introduced her grandson, François — whom she calls “Panchito” — in August 2026, sharing a sweet Instagram video of her speaking to him in Spanish.
His father, François Jr., is the eldest of Salma’s husband François-Henri Pinault’s three children from previous relationships. In addition to François Jr., the Grown Ups star is stepmom to Mathilde and Augustin James. Salma also shares a daughter, Valentina Paloma, with François-Henri, whom she welcomed in 2007.
“I always wanted to have a lot of children, and I was not able to,” she told Redmagazine in May 2017 about her blended family. “My body, as a miracle, had one. The huge blessing I’ve had is that my husband has three other children. So I have four. And they are all so different.”

The Frida actress became stepmom to Mathilde in 2009, when she and Francois married and took to her new role.
To celebrate Mathilde turning 24 in February 2025, Salma shared a heartfelt throwback photo on Instagram of her with Valentina when they were kids and wrote that she was “so proud” of the woman she’s become.

Years later, the model opened up about their relationship, telling Paris Matchin January 2022that Salma guides her “in a very pragmatic way to face difficulty after difficulty.”

Attending fashion shows is a family affair for Salma.
In March 2022, she was photographed with Mathilde and Valentina at Balenciaga — one of the many brands Kering owns — during Paris Fashion Week.

In March 2023, Salma brought her daughter as her date to the 95th Academy Awards, and they walked the red carpet in coordinating red gowns.
The actress turned heads in a red sequin halter gown while Valentina rocked a strapless red number with a tulle underlay. They both carried metallic purses to complete the look.
