However, the timeline provided is approximate as the requested document could also arrive before that projected timeframe. (The *New York Post** *was first to report the news on Monday, stating that the toxicology report could be released anywhere between eight and 12 weeks.)

A rep for Panettiere confirmed to ** that the actress had died Sunday at 36. A report from coroner Mike Ellis obtained by EW on Monday confirmed that the actress had been found “unresponsive” and “in cardiac arrest” when authorities arrived on the scene in Greenville, S.C. It was previously reported that “an acquaintance” of Panettiere’s had called 911 in the early afternoon on Sunday. EW’s sister site PEOPLE has since confirmed that Panettiere was with her on-and-off boyfriend Brian Hickerson when she died, but it’s unclear if he made the call.

When EMS responded to the Judson Mill Lofts, where the *Nashville** *alum “had been temporarily staying,” they administered “advanced cardiac life support measures,” but they proved unsuccessful. Panettiere was declared deceased at 2:32 p.m. local time on Aug. 16.

Ellis confirmed on Monday that an “an autopsy was completed,” and there were “no signs of trauma” that “would have contributed to the death,” according to his report.

“The cause and manner of death remain pending further investigation and the completion of additional studies. This investigation remains active and ongoing,” the report concluded. “No further details are available for release at this time.”

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office told EW on Tuesday that Panettiere’s body was ready to be released following Monday’s autopsy. The *New York Post*’s report stated that Panettiere will be released once her family makes a decision regarding funeral home details.
