Jeff Probst IS Survivor. The guy has not only been there since day one as host, but also charts the creative course of the franchise as executive producer and showrunner. It's impossible to imagine the show without him.
But what about if or when the Hostmaster General does finally decide to retire as master of ceremonies? Who should he pass the torch (snuffer) to as the next face of the franchise? We asked the most recent cast that exact question, and here are some of the Survivor 50 players nominated for the job… should it ever open.

Well, I think Rick Devens should at least be on the call sheet for it. I mean, Boston Rob is, of course, the thing I'd put an outside bid for. I'd also be curious to see how Parvati would do it.

If Jeff Probst ever decided to hang it up as host, I want to see Cirie or Parvati host Survivor, because I feel like between those two women, they know the game inside and out, and I feel like they would be the most iconic hosts of all time. Not to mention, they're the most beloved players of all time. So it's only fitting.

This is a tough question, because honestly, I mean this humbly, I think I would do a really good job. I would love that honor. But if it wasn't me, I think no better than DUN-DUN-DUN-DUN… Mr. Rick Devens.

Colby's hosted a lot of shows. This franchise was built on his back. And he and Probst are friends, so I think he'd be a great replacement. And he's smooth. Guys like him, girls like him, kids like him. We all like him.

Part of me thinks that they should go for someone kinda like Jeff, who was up and coming, and someone who's looking to make their mark. I know a lot of people float former players, but I'd love to see someone really passionate come out of the woodwork for it.

If Jeff ever hung it up, Cochran or Devens. Cochran and Devens are just amazing narrators. They love the game, and I just love the energy they bring to everything they do.

If Mr. Jeff hangs it up as host, there's a guy named Rick Devens who does really, really good. And that's something that Mr. Jeff said was, "Hey, why don't you go ahead and call this challenge, Devens, and you start hosting while I'm going on a challenge against these guys?"

I would really love to have a host who doesn't try to replicate what Jeff does but does their own unique thing. But also somebody who is iconic. I think Cirie, for instance, if she'd be willing to leave her day job, would do an amazing job hosting Survivor. I think she has a style that is uniquely her own. She's incredibly social and personable, and I think she'd make an amazing host.

I think if Jeff decides to hang it up, I would love to see some female energy. So I'd love to see somebody like Cirie or Parvati. I think that they could really bring a different new perspective to the game.

Rick Devens, easy. Rick is so freaking funny, and he just has that natural charisma. I would love to see Rick be the host.

I think if Jeff ever decides to step down from Survivor, they're gonna need a team of people to come in and fill for him. Maybe have like Parvati do Tribal, I can do one of the challenges, we can have Cesternino show up at the reward. It'll be great!
