USWNT to visit Brazil for two June friendlies

The U.S. women’s national team will travel to Brazil for two June friendlies against the Seleção, U.S. Soccer announced on Thursday, April 23.

The USWNT will face Brazil on June 6 at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo and on June 9 at Arena Castelão in Fortaleza.

Both matches will be played at stadiums that will host games at the 2027 Women's World Cup, which Brazil is hosting for the first time.

"I’m so pleased we were able to schedule these games," said U.S. head coach Emma Hayes. "We want to play the best teams in the most difficult environments at venues across the world as often as we can, and these two games check all those boxes.

"We need more games in which every fan in the stadium is cheering loudly against us and I’m looking forward seeing how our team performs and grows in these adverse conditions."

The USWNT and Brazil have faced off 43 times in their history, but just six of those matches have taken place in Brazil, most recently in 2014.

The two teams have played three times over the past two years, most notably when the U.S. defeated Brazil 1-0 in the 2024 Olympic gold medal game.

The teams split a pair of April 2025 friendlies, with the U.S. winning the first 2-0 and Brazil winning the second 2-0.
